The Auctioneers Association of Canada serves its Members -- and auction patrons -- by helping to coordinate training, a code of ethics, and professionalism throughout the industry while promoting the auction method of marketing. Membership in the AA of C is a "win-win-win" situation, benefitting the auctioneer, the seller and the buyer. Members receive access to many benefits, as well as training and accreditation opportunities. And auction buyers and sellers who choose an AA of C Member can have confidence in that professional's integrity, ability and adherance to our code of ethics.  In an unregulated industry, the client must decide who will act in their best interest. The Auctioneers Association of Canada has a Code of Ethics their members must adhere to for the protection of the consignor, the bidder, the purchaser & the auctioneer. These ethics are ruled on by a committee of senior members who are not Directors.
Professional auctioneers who are members can further their service & expertise through AA of C continuing education courses & receive ICCA or ISA designations. Business and auction goers should be aware that all members of the Auctioneers Association of Canada may use the initials "AAofC" to designate membership in the national association. No other designation denotes membership in good standing! Whether you're the seller or the buyer, you should consider using an AA of C Member displaying the AA of C logo.
